Our Commitment to Provide a Safe Sport
At Cardiff Judo, we are committed to ensuring a safe sport for everyone who participates in judo. As members of the British Judo Association, we follow the guidance set out in ‘Safe Landings’, the safeguarding manual that includes all policies and procedures for safeguarding matters.

Club Welfare Officer
As members of the British Judo Association we have appointed an independent welfare officer to assist the club fulfil its responsibilities and act as a first point of contact regarding concerns about welfare, poor practice or abuse of our members.

Coaching Standards
All of Cardiff Judo Academy coaches are qualified and are fully DBS checked and safeguarding trained.
We are a supporter of the British Judo 3 Step Safe initiative and welcome all members to view our coaching and safeguarding credentials on the British Judo Public Coach Register.
